Do what you must: The medication is seldom offered in the US to stop breastfeeding. Simply using the baby to soften your engorgement for a few <3 min/side and completing feeds with a formula will do the job by signaling your body to quit making the volume. Any feeding will prolong the weaning process but you must do what works for you. It takes whatever time it takes.
