A member asked:

I bought dostinex (cabergoline) to stop lactation after 6 months .it's written to take half a pill twice but the pharmacist told me to take two pills wht to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dostinex (cabergoline) dose: The usual dose is 0.25mg twice a week. Since the pills come as 0.5mg, i would agree with the dose of 1/2 pill twice a week. Check and see that the pills are indeed 0.5mg size, but i think that is the only tablet size Dostinex (cabergoline) comes in. Usually to stop lactation you only need to do a week of dosing, but if lactation persists, then can increase to as much as two pills twice a week.
