Asked and Answered: Orthodontic retainers help keep your teeth in the position they were in when your treatment was completed. Since our bodies (and occlusion) can change over time as we age, your best bet to keep your teeth straight is to continue wearing your retainers. There is no set time to give you where you can stop wearing them and have your teeth remain in place.

Stability: You only need to wear retainers as long as you would like your teeth to stay straight. Yours, obviously, want to destabilize. Would be advisable to see an Orthodontic Specialist for evaluation.
