Need higher dose!: That's a common level for someone taking 3000 iu/day. While within the normal range, many authorities say the optimal level is 50-80. It usually takes 5000-8000 iu/day to reach this level. It's perfectly safe to take that amount. I advise you take 6000 iu/day and recheck levels in 3 months.
