A member asked:

My son is 21 months old. stopped drinking formula 5months ago and will not allow anynear him. what can i give him to ensure sufficient calcium intake?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Why bother: Calcium is readily available in milk, soy milk, some orange juices, cheeses, etc. The equivalent of 4 slices of cheese or cups of milk fill their need. There is no need for a 21mo to be on a formula. If you like the idea, Carnation makes a breakfast product called "Essentials" in packets. (add to milk) It comes in flavors & provides a similar blend as ensure for a fraction of the cost.
