It is possible to: have such a herpes outbreak if you have had previous history of herpes. The cervical swab is largely irrelevant since there are a host of other vaginal infections you could have had. If you have recurrence, then it is likely to be a viral infection (like herpes) unless your bacterial infection was incompletely treated by the "antibiotic". Hope this helps.
