A member asked:

I'm in a southeast asian country now and i ate some pig brains (boiled in a noodle soup) yesterday in a street-side food stall while having a mouth ulcer. is there any risk of getting rabies if the pig was infected someway?

Doubt the link: Even if the pig brain is infected (have not heard of pig getting rabies but even if it does..) , I'd doubt the reaction would some that soon. I would avoid eating brain from any animal in the future since there is always a possibility (although rare) of getting a neurologic disease from it (such as prion which is not killed by disinfectant or cooking).
