Get labs: Has the thyroid gland been checked? If the daughter has underactive thyroid gland the metabolism is slow. More likely to get constipated.
You listed the condition of diarrhea. That is the opposite of constipation. Was this due to laxative use?
Her bowel function needs to be stabilized.
