You have an: Ankle sprain, but I'm sure you realized that. Rest, ice, compression, elevation are the treatment. Gentle range of motion exercises while off weight are good too. You should be okay.

This sounds: like both a classic ankle strain/sprain but a possible tendon rupture internally (MID FOOT!!!) You need treatment by a quaified ORTHOPEDIST or PODIATRIST! Hope this is helpful BTW this is an urgent issue o preserve function! Hope this is helpful Dr Z
