Surgical repair: If it's been diagnosed as a complete rupture, and your under 60 or active then sx repair is warranted.

Options: For complete tears I usually recommend surgical intervention in active patients. You can try to rehab it, but there will be residual instability for which you will still have chronic pain over the outside of the ankle.
