Sprained right ankle in feb. had mri done in mayatfl partially torn and cfl ruptured. pt has helped, but experiencing burning and sensitivity on medial malleolus. what is causing this? recent x-ray shows no fracture, only diffuse soft tissue edema?

Takes many months for healing, and swelling to remit. If there is a question of occult bone dysfunction, a triple phase bone scan might be in order just to be complete. But time and patience with ongoing PT will provide eventual success.
