A member asked:

I have seronegative ra, i have severe gastric pain with the prescribed hydroxychloroquine sulphate. how can i use the drug without gastric issues?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See details: I would strongly consider a change to subcutaneous methotrexate. This would avoid any GI risk and has better data than hydroxychloroquine in preventing joint damage. If you want to try to continue your current med, add omeprazole 20 mg daily to try to prevent GI irritation.
