On humira q 14 days x 8 months ra. it is losing effectiveness. adding plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) 200mg bid. is this a good approach? when will i begin to feel better?

Not really: Methotrexate or Arava (leflunomide) would be much better options as additions to humira. If that does not work, one can always change to another biologic but i would increase the Humira injections to once weekly before giving up on it.

Good idea: Yes, addition of Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) makes sense but the Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) may take 1-2 months to kick in. There may some factors (weather, stress) that are making your RA worse instead of the Humira failing.
