9 days ago my left knee became sore after bowling. it know has worsened. i have difficulty running and walking up stairs. my knee bends with ease. i can easily walk. when i attempt to run it sharp pain below knee cap. some swelling inside & back.

Knee pain: This may be a tendonitis problem or a cartilage injury. There is less swelling,if any, with tendonitis and it often resolves after taking anti-inflammatory medications like Advil or Aleve for a week or so. If swelling is marked and pain shows no significant improvement after anti-inflammatory medication, consult an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation and treatment options. ?An xray and/or an MRI
