Knee ache: Tendonitis can be the problem. Treatment consists of avoiding stressing the knee and taking anti-inflammatory medication like Advil or Aleve for a week. If Lack of improvement, consult an orthopedic specialist for evaluation and advice. A knee xray or mri may be ordered as part of the evaluation to look for arthritis, patella pathology or internal knee derangement like cartilage or ligament damage.
