A member asked:

I m a regular drinker. now my ast is 89,alt90,ggtp520, triglycerides is 220. should i stop drinking imediatly? wht medicine should i take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not immediately: Wean off the alcohol GRADUALLY by substituting with non-alcoholic, non-sugary drinks. Better yet, work with one's primary care doctor, or a alcohol detoxification (detox) doctor, to forever get off the alcohol... but without the dangerous side effects of a chronic drinker suddenly stopping his alcohol. Nutritional care is also needed, during detox.
