Talk to doctor: One needs to know if any neurologic damage occurred when you were in a coma with the drug overdose. Recommend that you talk to the doctor who took care of you and ask for referral if indicated.

Check current meds.: The emotional and physical toll of overdose can be profound. The duration of your coma and the influence of other medical conditions you may have had can combine to make full recovery a slow process. Get your current medications reviewed to see if they can cause "depersonalization" or feeling not yourself. In addition, get a full physical exam to see if any other medical condition is at play.
