A member asked:

In the second trimester of pregnancy and working in anaesthetics, do anaesthetic gases pose a risk to the fetus.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and no: Once upon a time anesthesia exhaled gases were vented into the operating room where they were inhaled by the anesthesia and operating personnel possible causing early trimester miscarriage. Now, all exhaled gases are vented into a "closed" system and no longer a possible threat to pregnancies of any kind.
