A member asked:

If my 3 mo infant is diagnosed with the flu and none of the pharmacies have the liquid in stock. can the pharmacist crush it or should i go to er?

Discuss wth your doc: The use of Tamiflu in infants under a year is fraught with many side effects that include vomiting & occasionally neurologic problems. I rarely, if ever used it outside of the hospital in infants. I would discuss this with your doc before you push a pharmacist to compound a marginal preparation.
