See dentist /doctor: I do not believe your sore tongue is related to the tonsils thus you need to consult your dentist to find out to get check for things like malocclusion which causes you to bite your tongue . Do note that oral products may be the cause for the inflammation. In addition, your doctor will likely check you for problems such as vit B12 deficiency. Good luck.
