Not ethics issue: It is common knowledge that x-ray studies such as regular x-ray films or CT scans do put out a bit of radiation, and that radiation does not noticeably increase "one particular person's risk of cancer," when added to the radiation risks for cancer she already experiences just by living on planet Earth. Doctors do discuss the risks of getting repeated x-rays, but that is a different situation.

Read an article that stated research shows radiation exposure from CT scans leads to increased risk for certain cancers, incl. brain cancer. I had a CT scan of head as a baby in late 1970s. Should I be concerned? Mom died of GBM in 2007, so I worry.
