A member asked:

How can we help to fight childhood obesity in america today?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Self control: Eat less. Cut down on starch, sugars. Avoid most prepackaged snack foods, no matter how attractive the advertising. Exercise more. All the things you've been told all your life. If none of that helps, get a professional nutritionist to help you set up a plan you can live with. Ask your physician or pediatrician to recommend a nutritionist.
