What is your opinion on how to fight obesity in children?

Competent parenting: Parents who are scientifically literate, firm, fair and consistent are all that we have in the war on childhood obesity. The fat kid is ridiculed and is set up for a lifetime of emotional and physical problems. I am not optimistic about the effectiveness of government spending or physician exhortation to deal with a problem that has its basis in the privacy of the home; others may disagree.

Wrap around services: These are our babies. They deserve all the love and attention. And the best food and play. Less tv. More play. More community. Limit sugary food and cook together.
