It shouldn't...: All dental restorations should blend harmoniously with the remainder of your dentition. At times, something may be just a bit off, but nothing that your dentist cannot correct. No, your bite is not "ruined". It may need a minor modification.

Fillings and bite: Most new fillings should not change your bite. If a fillings is too high it can make the tooth sensitive or it can break, cause TMJ pain, increase grinding, among other thing, so get it checked by your dentist. There are times when a filling is intended to change and improve your bite. Talk to your dentist.
