A member asked:

I was given resprim forte for ear infection and ear drops.will this help?

What is your respons: generally, antibiotic ear drops work better for infection of the car canal (swimmer's ear). For infection behind the ear drum, oral antibiotics work better. If resprim forte is a sulfa antibiotic, there is decreased effectiveness in using sulfa for otitis media (infection behind the canal). Basically, if you use the medication as prescribed and improve, great. If not, follow up with your doctor
