Depends: It depends on whether you have an external or middle ear infection. For external ear infection, also called swimmers ear, ear drops will suffice. For middle ear infection, you need oral antibiotics. Please see your doctor for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.

Needs examination: Ear infections of the ear cana are usually treated with ear drops. Ear infections behind the ear drum usually require oral antibiotics. Need examination to determine type of infection if present.
