Depends on disorder: We don't give digestive enzymes to normal young children, because they have all the digestive enzymes that they need. If they have trouble disgesting certain foods, and don't have a medical disorder, they can just adjust their diets by eating different foods. Children with a defect in their digestion can see a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to set up a plan of treatment, for foods and medications.
