Usually not: Cheese is made from milk. The fat in cheese is animal fat. Eating the fat in cheese is just like chewing on a stick of butter... it's the same fat. Cheese is the fat and protein from the milk. Cheese without the protein is just a stick of butter. If a person is malnourished, cheese is great stuff because it is high in protein and fat. Otherwise, try lowfat cheeses to get protein but less fat.
