A member asked:

Is it possible to be allergic to all types of cheese except mozzarella? this doesn't make sense to me.

Dr. John Chiu answered

Possible: If one is allergic to dairy and/or the fungus used to ferment it to cheese, then an allergic reaction is possible. Since the fungus used may vary in type or quantity, one may not be reacting to all the cheeses. However, if one were allergic to the cow protein from cheese, then one would likely be allergic to all of them
