No pillow is OK: Pillows are for comfort and were probably first used to relieve the pressure on the head when we slept on hard floors. It is not dangerous generally to not use pillows. If your neck is bent and posture is not right, make a conscious effort to sleep with your neck straight and your body in a better posture. If you stick with it, it will gradually become easier.

Bad posture: Bad posture is usually related to the inadequate muscle strength and tone, but it can be related to the cervical spine issues. It would be worthwhile to see a physical therapist who can advise you on strengthening exercises you can do to help correct it. Dont wait for it to get worse. And yes you can ditch your pillow. It is only for comfort. But not likely to correct your posture.
