A member asked:

Hi, i have tested 2,700 hcg at 11 days post a 5 day egg transfer (2 eggs were transferred). the number seems high, even if it turned out to be twins?

Wide range: HCG results have very wide ranges of normal. If you had gotten pregnant on your own. 4 weeks after menstruation your levels would be an average of 1000 but as high as 15000. with an embryo transfer, that is like 3 weeks after when menstruation would haved occurred naturally. So, your levels appear to be normal. But call your Reproductive Endocrinologist for confirmation

HCG 2700: post trans: This is high even if one assumes that both eggs implanted 11 days prior to this test for HCH. If you had sexual relations prior to the actual transfer, and your ovarian function was stimulated with medications, an early ovulation may have occurred which predated the transfer. The HCG level may also be an error, so have it repeated.
