Leg pain: from the history, I agree that a deep vein thrombosis is unlikely, as there is no associated swelling, and from your description the discomfort is localized. This raises the issue of a knee related issue, perhaps a popliteal (Baker's) cyst. If you are concerned, then a venous duplex ultrasound would be a great test to determine if you have any venous thrombosis, and possibly the cyst.
