What's the difference between primary and secondary immune response?

Adaptive immunity: In the adaptive immune response, the initial response is significantly slower than the response on re-exposure. Initial exposure leads to expansion of cells that make igm, whereas on re-exposure the cells have been changed by the body to make igg, which is made quicker, and is more efficient.
