A member asked:

How long does it take for a wisdom tooth to grown and break thru my gums ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Wisdom teeth: Wisdom teeth usually start forming in late childhood, well before puberty, and take until late teens to mid 20's to erupt. From the time they begin breaking through gums into the oral cavity, until fully erupted, can be weeks to years. If they remain partially or completely unerupted they are considered to be impacted. See your Dentist or an Oral Surgeon for evaluation.
