Doxepin: Doxepin cream 5% by prescription. Small amount, rub in as often as need to control pain. Sometimes makes people sleepy if used in large amts. Standard course of valacyclovir is 1 gram [1 pill] 3 times a day for 7 days. Also try naproxen 500mg once or twice a day
