This is likely: musculoskeletal pain, meaning that it originates from the muscles or connecting tissues in the chest wall, ribs and sternum (breast bone). There may be some inflammation in these tissues, or even in the lung lining (pleuritis). Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories work well for this--full dose ibuprofen or naproxen. Icing may help. Avoid re-injury..lifting, carrying heavy objects. See Doc if persists
