I was diagnosed with bronchitis and had an xray that was unclear due to old scar tissue. i am on an antibiotic.. how will i know i when to return work

Probably OK now: Bronchitis itself doesn't require staying away from work. If the problem started as a respiratory virus (influenza or just a bad cold), you should stay away during the first 4-5 days of symptoms. After that, no problem, as long as you feel up to it. ough itself and taking antibiotic make no difference. If in doubt, ask the doctor treating you.

Mgt.: If you have a fever and sputum, please see your PCP. Most uncomplicated viral infections resolve within 2 weeks.
