I have a jar with leftover ritalin capsules that expired 2 years ago. doc told me to start taking ritalin again. she said using the expired capsules is fine. but on the jar it says dispose of it 6 months after opening. what do i do?

Follow doc's lead: At most, the med may not be as strong as listed, but these can be used as a transition until you get in for a new prescription. The med companies are required to put such notices on the product by the FDA. I have no reason to believe it would hurt you.
