OK to wait until 2 m: Pertussis infection in infants is largely related to exposure from family members and other close contacts. Most important is that all caretakers and siblings that are in school or daycare be immunized with Tdap. A booster during pregnancy protects mother & gives higher antibodies to the baby via placenta. Premies, however, do not benefit as much.
