Hello im 36 have lot of anxiety taked xanax 1 in the morning and 1 evening (xanax 1mg.)18 years i taked it the 12 last years with the previous doses.ast) from then are 70 -80.i cant stop it!will my liver damage if i will continue it due to ast?thx

Probably Not: The liver is a large organ and AST small increase over 12 years is not bad. People have been on meds for years without causing harm . It is the kidney that is usually the predictor of whether you can remain on the same dose of medication.Not the liver. See a doctor for a check up , labs and reassurance. That way you can continue treatment and rest assured no problems.
