Enough for fuel: The number of calories needed to maintain weight is highly veriable from one person to the other, depending on how active a person is and on their metabolic rate. Some adutls would only need 1200 calories per day while others could need up to 4000 if they are engaging in regular strenuous exercise. Consulation with a dietician can help you decide how much and what kind of food you need to consume.

Calories, Nutrients: There are formulas 4calculating how many calories/day someone needs 2consume 2maintain certain weight. They take into account person's height, current weight & activity level. Websites that also help ppl track what they eat, nutrients they're getting, etc., usu. Have their own formulas (e.g., mynetdiary.Com, fitday.Com, livestrong.Com's myplate). But do learn about nutrition, eating balanced diet.
