Very rare: to have Sjogren's syndrome at this age, given also that she is fine otherwise, and just one side is inflamed. Sialdenitis (meaning inflammation of salivary gland) is what she has, mumps is a cause, although unlikely if she has had the vaccination, and she would be sick. Although US imaging can be used to diagnose Sjogren's, it is used with other criteria for diagnosis, and not a definitive one
