My 11 year old daughter's parotid gland below her right ear has been swollen for the last 3 days. the lump is very small but hard and extremely sensitive. no other concerns, been giving neurofen for 2 days but no improvement, not near a dr.

Parotid stone: Sounds like she may have a small stone in her parotid gland. Warm pack the area, then have her suck on sour lemon drops or other SOUR/HARD candy. The increase in saliva production will often pressure push the stone through the duct. Use Tylenol or ibuprofen for pain.
