Could be: The symptoms you describe can very well be related to sjogrens. This disease can be diagnosed with certain laboratory data but often requires a biopsy of the salivary glands located in the lip area (minor salivary glands). This can be done easily under local anesthetic in the office by ENT md's.

Yes.: Yes. Sjogren's syndrome is a definite possibility. You need a thorough evaluation with a rheumatologist as soon as possible.
