Can i use otc omeprazole instead of rx to treat my gastric ulcer? in a foreign country at the moment and it's easier to get the otc.

Sure: For the lack of better options. I had patients that found only a specific brand PPI working for them. For a trial and with slight dose adjustments you should be fine. There is increasing evidence for long term side effects of PPI’s but that you can discuss with your prescriber later on.
