Nasal saline: Use nasal saline which can be found in the pharm. Tilt the bottle upside down and instill 1-2 drops in one nostril. Use a suction bulb(also in pharm.) to suck out the diluted “snot”. You are blowing her nose for her. Do this a few times per day, especially before feeding or before putting the baby down to sleep. Do not do it too often, otherwise the irritation will make her appear more congested.

Mgt: Nasal saline drops, gentle suction and a cool air mist humidifier, may provide relief. Continue to nurse, and check the baby's temperature. Please see your PCP..
