See Pediatrician: We are in the flu season. Your son may have bronchiolitis which is caused by a virus. Do not give over the counter cough medicine which does not work in Children and may hurt him. See your Pediatrician for appropriate treatment

No meds: The first months are troubled by naturally narrow nasal passages & exposure to dust, fragrences, smoke & other irritants.Baby tries to flush these out of the nose with mucous but this often ends as congestion & produces rattling with breathing & cough. The best rx is washing out the nose with saline & suctioning the remainder. Eliminate irritants from babies environment & this will happen less.
