I'm 36,take generic alesse.ive been given topical estrace to apply for atrophy,i've used for 2 wks.will this cause breast cancer?i put it on at night.

Alesse/low dose bcp: Alesse has a low content of estrogen, and a progestin, the combination of which mimics on a 28 day basis, a "normal menstrual cycle". Using Estrace as a supplement is not generally necessary, but although estrogen can affect breast tissue, your risk is not enhanced significantly.
