Minimum of 2 weeks: Endep or Amitriptyline is commonly used for neuropathic pain you describe. The drug can be effective in 2 weeks but the majority of people will need to take the medication for 6 to 8 weeks and you may require some dosing changes if the initial dose is not effective. Good luck
