That is a sad story: but you have not asked a question. It would seem reasonable to obtain a second opinion to see if anything can be done to relieve your symptoms. Consider going to a University hospital as there may be investigational therapies that could prove to be more beneficial.

Possibly : Given the history and symptoms, a pinched nerve can be the cause, your doctor may refer you to a neurologist fir further management, but you need to act on it, best wishes
